A human being is only interesting if he’s in contact with himself. I learned you have to trust yourself, be what you are, and do what you ought to do the way you should do it. You have got to discover you, what you do, and trust it.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BARBRA STREISAND!
Happy 88th Birthday, HM!
No Jayne Atkinson tweet (disappointed face) but I still had a good day. I got some cleaning done, my room was a mess, did a little writing, had some yummy food, and heard from so many friends. It was a terrific birthday all around. And I still have two days off work so the world is awesome right now.
Happy Birthday mcgarrygirl78!!!! Hope you have had a wonderful day :)
Thank you, thank you!
Happy Birthday, Jessica Phyllis Lange (April 20, 1949)By the time you’re past middle age, you get a really strong sense of self. I don’t care what people think of me anymore. I’m not looking for approval or acceptance. I don’t feel like I have to adjust or try to fit in. You become kind of eccentric.
Birthday pics. I took that selfie before I left home this afternoon. Then I went to Macy’s to buy lip gloss and mascara but ended up getting a little birthday makeover from the cool chick Midge at the Dior counter. I never wear makeup (except for lip gloss) so this was a bit of a big decision. I got some new Docs, which I’m totally in love with. And then Murry and I went to Capital Grille where I was treated like royalty to a delicious birthday dinner and free dessert.
Happy 55th Birthday, Emma Thompson ! (April 15th, 1959)
"Maybe I don’t take myself so seriously any more. And I don’t care how I’m judged. I’m past all that."
One of his (Ang Lee’s) first comments to the actress was “Don’t look so old”. Thompson said “I’d much prefer ‘don’t look so old' to 'that was great’. If it was great, where do you go?” (x)
Happy 56th Birthday Peter Capaldi! [14/04/58] "I’d tell my younger self: worrying that you are crap is a waste of time. Worrying that you can’t do it is a waste of time. Worrying that you failed is a waste of time. No one cares. Just get on with it. I’d tell him to celebrate being different. In the end, my Glasgow accent didn’t matter. The fact I was different would provide me with the employment I’ve had.”
